Mini review: Lipids in Peripheral Nerve Disorders

چکیده
Neurons are polarized cells whose fundamental functions to receive, conduct and transmit signals. In bilateral animals, the nervous system is divided into central (CNS) peripheral (PNS) system. The main function of PNS connect CNS limbs organs, essentially serving as a relay between brain spinal cord rest body. Sensory axons can be up 3 feet in length. Because its long-reaching complex structure, exposed vulnerable many genetic, metabolic environmental predispositions. Lipids lipid intermediates essential components nerves. About 50 % dry weight consist lipids, which makes it second highest rich tissue after adipose tissue. However, role lipids neurological disorders particular nerves not well understood. This review aims provide an overview about PNS.

Antibody testing in peripheral nerve disorders.
The identification of autoantibodies associated with dysimmune neuropathies was a major contribution to the characterization of peripheral nerve disorders, the understanding of their pathophysiology, and the clinical diagnosis of neuropathies. Antibodies directed to GM1, GQ1b, and disyalilated gangliosides, and anti-MAG antibodies are very useful in the diagnosis of acute or chronic motor or se...
متن کاملperipheral nerve injury: a review article
traumatic peripheral nerve injuries are among most important cause of physical disability among young adults. most partial injuries and some complete injuries recover without operative intervention, with early return of function appearing to be the most significant prognostic factor in these cases. return of function over time depends to a great extent on the underlying neuropathologic conditio...

Peripheral nerve injuries (PNI) can lead to lifetime loss of function and disfigurement. Different methods such as conventional allograft procedures and using of biological tubes have problems for damaged peripheral nerves reconstruction. Designed scaffolds with natural and synthetic materials are now widely used in the reconstruction of damaged tissues. Utilization of absorbable and non-absorb...
